On Thursday, Year 5 had the challenge of designing and making Lego Mindstorm vehicles as part of our Space Explorers topic. To construct the robots the children had to connect the motors, add the wheels, attach a sensor and finally input the programme controller. After wiring it all up, we used coding software, programming not only the robots to travel, but to also avoid obstacles, similar to ‘Bruno’ the Mars space rover we saw at the National Space Centre last week!
