Cotteridge Primary School follows Birmingham Education’s Policy for admissions.

Cotteridge Primary School can admit places on a part time basis into the Nursery class each year.  Places are offered to children who have reached their 3rd birthday by the 31st August prior to September admission using the agreed criteria for all Birmingham Nurseries.

Attendance at our nursery class does not give a child automatic priority for a place in reception class.

Places are offered for Reception class by the Local Authority. Children in Birmingham can start school (Reception) in the September after their 4th birthday. Parents can apply for a place in the autumn of the year before their child turns four-years-old.

Open Days at our school are arranged each October/November to enable prospective Reception children and their parents to visit the school.

If you would like your child to join Cotteridge Primary School from another school, you must provide an In-Year School Admissions Form, proof of date of birth and proof of address.

Please be aware, your child may not gain automatic entry into the school as we do have waiting lists.
