On Tuesday, Year 5 visited the National Space Centre, Leicester for a fun-filled, action packed and hands on experience of the Solar System and beyond! From the impressive (life size) rocket to the exciting exhibits, the children demonstrated their knowledge admirably. We took a trip back to 1969 to witness the moon landing, trained to be astronauts at Tranquility Base and controlled a Mars rover over rocky terrain. The highlight was our ‘Tour of the Night Sky’ in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium, as we went whizzing through galaxies and learning stories about star constellations.
