On Thursday, Year 4 stepped back in time to Roman Britain when we visited Wroxeter Roman City. We learned lots about life in Roman times and found out some disgusting facts!
We were particularly shocked that the Romans didn’t have toilet paper. Instead, they used a sponge on a stick and worse that that, they sometimes had to use someone else’s sponge! Even worse than that, if they didn’t have a sponge, then they used their hand! Bet you’re glad that you’re not a Roman!
We all enjoyed exploring the city ruins and learning more about the Romans to help us with our topic work.
