Year 4 enjoyed examining some Roman artefacts today on loan from the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

The children handled each object with care and tried to figure out what the item was and what it was used for in Roman times.

I think the Romans used this to comb their hair.

Year 4 were surprised to find out that this item was not a boomerang or a farming tool but a strigil – used by the Romans to clean themselves!
