On Tuesday, Year 3 spent a day in the life of a Stone Age scavenger. The children had great fun learning how to survive in prehistoric times. They worked as a team to build shelters using tarpaulin (animal skin), rope (nettles), willow and wooden tools. Later, they foraged for food, identifying which would be safe to eat or not! They also practised hunting for animals using wooden arrows. To keep themselves warm, the children had fun using flint and steel to create fire and built fences to protect their homes. Everyone had a brilliant day back in the Stone Age!
