On Friday 27th September, Year 3 took a leap back in time to experience life in the Stone Age.  To help us learn about surviving through the palaeolithic age, we built shelters from our mammoth skins and willow branches.  Then to see what changed during the neolithic age, we practised weaving, making nets, grinding grain for bread, hunting wild (wooden) animals and gathering berries and leaves.  We also had a try at fire-lighting with a flint and steel.  We had a super (but very wet!) day and we are now ready to dive into our topic ‘Scavengers and Settlers’.
