On Monday, Year 1 had a brilliant day at Avoncroft Museum of Buildings. The inclement weather could not quell the children’s enthusiasm as they explored a variety of buildings. They learnt about how people’s lives are affected by the homes they live in and spoke a lot about the importance of a flushing toilet – which didn’t appear until the prefab constructed in 1946! The children also had the opportunity to get their hands dirty by making bricks out of clay. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
