The children have had a fantastic time watching the eggs hatch and grow into baby chicks. We made sure we looked after them properly and got all the food and water they needed.
We learnt lots of interesting information about chicks, such as, when the egg first starts to crack it called pipping and that the mother hen will turn the egg for 18 days before it hatches.
The children were also very excited to hold the chicks and were very careful with them.
