Today, Year 4 enjoyed learning about the scientist Sir Isaac Newton.  We found out how he discovered gravity after watching an apple fall from a tree.  We investigated gravity in different ways.  First, we let water out of a hole in a cup, then tried dropping it to see what would happen.  After, Mr Leonard set off a rocket in the park for us!  We were so impressed with how high it went, but also very relieved when it came back down with the parachute and Mr Leonard could get it back.

We spent the afternoon with children from other classes, conducting an investigation into bubble-making.  We have had an amazing day and some of the children have even been inspired to become scientists when they are older!
