Year 2 have started their IPC unit, What are Islands? The children enjoyed an afternoon treat of popcorn and David Attenborough to immerse them into the topic.
The children learnt about the island and it’s unique wildlife. Firm favourites were the lemurs, tenriks and the giraffe-necked weevils. The children were fascinated when David explained that some fish were eyeless! They didn’t need eyes as the lake was too dark! Amazing, only in Madagascar!
The children are looking forward to this topic and finding out about different islands as well as life on Madagascar.
