As part of our ‘Wonderful World’ topic, Year 5 enjoyed making clay tiles of their chosen biome last week. The children experienced with different techniques such as rolling, pinching and pulling the clay to creates different shapes and used tool to create textures. The children learned the importance of using the ‘score and slip’ technique to join clay.
