On Friday 28th April it was National Superhero Day and the children in year 2 celebrated this day in style.

The children arrived into school dressed up as real-life or fictional heroes. A message was sent to the children regarding Attendance Ted. He had been kidnapped and the children had to collect clues around the park to find the location of Ted.

After the Year 2 Superheroes saved Attendance Ted, there were many suspects. The children interviewed Mr Leonard, Mr Bungaroo and Mrs Browning. No-one was proven guilty due to insufficient evidence!

Later in the morning, we were visited by a real life hero, PC Goucher. We heard all about the work of the Police and how they can help us. Some children tried on the uniform and Gracie-Mai was arrested using real handcuffs!

In the afternoon, the Superheroes were put through their paces at ‘Training Camp’. They developed their x-ray vision, agility training and spider skills.

The children have had a truly super day!
