WOW! What a day Year 2 had at the seaside!
On Monday 12th June Year 2 made the long journey to Weston-super-Mare. When we arrived the children spent time digging, building and burying each other in the sand.
During lunch we were joined by some unwelcomed visitors who were very interested in our sandwiches. We managed to scare them away with our screams!
After lunch the children enjoyed a donkey ride along the beach. The donkeys must have been hungry as on the way back they galloped towards the hay. The children had to hold on tight!
To end the day the children enjoyed a refreshing ice-cream. It was a sticky but delicious mess that was the perfect way to finish the day.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the seaside, however there were some very tired children by the end!!
The children were a credit to the school, they behaved beautifully and the smiles on their faces said it all.
