As part of our topic work on Space Explorers, year 5 had a visit from NAO the robot and Lego Mindstorm. We learned how to programme a Lego Mindstorm vehicle to travel forwards, backwards and even park in a set space linking it to the Mars space rover. The children worked in small groups to create simple algorithms and debug programmes in order to achieve the set challenges.
