It is the year 7325. Humans left Earth 5000 years ago due to the pollution they created destroying their home. All the known species of plants and animals were left behind to die or adapt. No human has set foot on our planet in all this time…until now!
Year 4 were members of a team of intrepid explorers, sent to investigate Earth and find out what species of plants and animals live there. Using descriptions of new and interesting creatures, they worked in teams to share the information with other humans. They created classification keys, drew diagrams, gave ‘Latin’ names and classified the different living things. They all agreed that life might be a little bit harder for humans on Earth if we had to share our planet with things like Killer Grass, Giant Mosquitoes or Stinging Butterflies!
