Last week, Year 4 had the opportunity to find out what the tropical rainforest is really like with a visit to the glasshouses of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.  It was very hot and humid, but we all loved spotting plants we knew, like banana trees and cacao trees!

Filip tried out a blow-pipe to catch a monkey for dinner (just a picture!).

Chloe got to know a very friendly chameleon.

Zohlia wasn’t too sure at first. but decided he was “quite cool”.

Taylor loved the Bearded Dragon!

Robert tried to stop Candi the snake from getting away!

Lacey is a Croton Plant!  Looking very cool…

We had a great day and have all come away with a deeper understanding about the issues facing the rainforest and the animals and plants that call it home.
