Year 5 visited the National Space Centre as part of our Space Explorers topic. We were able to experience the wonders of our universe, come face-to-face with astronauts, space suits and in the iconic Rocket Tower, we travelled to the top of the Blue Streak and Thor Able rockets. After a short lunch break, we headed to the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium, where we were dazzled by breath-taking star patterns and intriguing constellation Myths – as told by the Ancient Greeks – during our ‘Tour of the Night Sky’. A great day out, full of space and solar system adventure, that really was…out of this world!
